What’s the Big Deal with Lectins?
Lectins are toxic plant proteins. They are in many foods we have been told are healthy. These toxic plant proteins are literally ripping us apart on the inside. What this looks like on the outside is degenerative disease, shorter lifespans and even shorter health spans.
In the big picture, AKA, collective humanity, this inner toxicity reveals itself as war, lack of care for the planet and her creatures, mindless plundering of natural resources.
It is absolutely impossible to separate individual health, collective health and the health of the planet.
While we may be different we are NEVER separate.
I have quoted the following verse from the Upanishads on many occasions, and it is well worth repeating:
“What is on the inside is on the outside and what is on the outside is on the inside”.
How can we hope for, let alone expect, peace and harmony when most everyone has a war raging inside themselves?
This war can be tragic and dramatic: cancer, heart disease, diabetes, obesity, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's.
Or less obvious, small, niggly things we try to ignore: a few extra pounds, dry, sagging wrinkled skin, bloating, gas, indigestion, heart burn, fatigue, poor sleep, achy joints, sugar cravings, junk food cravings.
Succinctly stated: this war is between your sugar craving, inflammation causing pathogenic, bad gut flora/bugs and your beneficial, immune system boosting gut flora/bugs.
The bad guys make you crave sugar and no amount of will power can over come the cravings they set in motion. They wreak havoc on your body, tear apart your gut wall, inflame your arteries while making you sick, fat and tired.
The good guys are the best friends you could possibly ask for. Their top priority is to take care of you and insure your thriving health until your last breath

You need to do your part. Your population of good guys has most likely been reduced by processed food, even so called “healthy” food that contains lectins (and there's a lot of that!), antibiotics, birth control pills, antacids, NSAIDs,
The organisms in your intestines control how fat or skinny, healthy or sick you will become.
The great news? You are in complete control of the environment of your gut.
Get lectin containing food off your plate and out of your life, thereby healing your gut, AKA, microbiome, and reduce/eliminate the consumption of processed food.
